Old-fashioned Arts

If one ever finds themselves wanting in character I have a perfect tonic. Try knitting socks and you will find yourself the student of patience. Four needles, three or four colors, slippery needles. That proud feeling of accomplishing a few more rounds...then realizing you made a mistake and must rip those lovely stitches all out and start again. I assure you, this will tempt one to give in to fustration---but remember patience. Patience takes a deep breath, remains calm, and determines to try again---with joy!

These mentors charge not one penny and are our ready teachers in everyday life, if we will simply recognize them and listen to what they have to say. One can be certain of possessing the rubies these mentors offer if we DO what they say. "Do not merely listen to the Word and so deceive yourselves, do what it says." James 1

Called and Chosen

"...many are called; few are chosen." Matthew 22:14

This is it. For a few years now, a passionate message has been burning inside me. A message of love. And of truth. It was YHVH's idea. And it was He who revealed His heart to me. It was He who whispered the words of this novel to me, as I offered Him my fingers and wrote.

I am convinced that within this story the answers to questions will be unlocked and you will discover real Love, real Life, and the One who breathed life into you and tenderly formed you with His hands will meet with you...FOR REAL. I know this because it happened to me. And it still does. After one encounter my life was shaken, and I have never been the same.

The Things Around Me . . .

The things around me have a story...

...the plank you see in this photo was last summer a vintage chair. Until it was captured by a creative imagination...mine, in fact. :) I gathered stones and painted them, and inscribed upon them the name of God, YHVH written in the ancient Paleo-Hebrew language. I found these juniper branches a few miles from my home and for a taste of winter bliss I stuck them in this vase. Bittersweet from a friend provided ornamental pizazz. This juniper is a sneek peek of my latest entrepreneur crave making wreaths.

Simple Beginnings

I guess one could say the life of an entrepreneur is challenging and risky. Yet beyond that it's exciting, diverse, and so fulfilling. It grasps onto creativity and runs with it. And this is what I love. To be who I am.

So this is me. Hadassah. I simply love to use my hands to make things in ways that point you, who are reading this, to the Creator. How do I do it? My hand-knit scarf will keep a little boy warm, my juniper wreaths dotted with purple and blue berries attest to the Master Artist, my hand-made journals are a reflection of thought and inspire the bleak soul, and my book, a novel entitled "Called and Chosen" will breathe life to the heart of the reader. I have been given love of the greatest kind; the least I can do is give what I have to you, too.
